These classes include interactive play, storytelling, and music to teach children and their parents and caregivers early literacy skills in a fun and active way. Two early literacy skills the public library teaches are the pre-reading and pre-writing skills that children learn in the first 3 years of life. The more they are exposed to these skills, the better they develop. Having strong early literacy skills when beginning school is a prime indicator of future success. Let us show you how you can help your child build strong literacy skills in your everyday life with our fun and informational classes. Infants to children 3 years of age with a caregiver are welcome at these early literacy classes.
