Defiance Public Library Historical Tour

The Defiance Public Library was constructed in 1904 by funds provided by Andrew Carnegie. The spectacular stained glass work, unique red sandstone facade, and grand picture windows, which frame the confluence of the Maumee and Auglaize Rivers and the Defiance Fort Grounds, make the Defiance Public Library the Crown Jewel of Defiance City.
