The Adult Short Story Writing Contest is back! Submit an original story — 3,000-5,000 words or fewer — that epitomizes the theme “Adventure” for a chance to win. The winning submission will be published in the library’s September newsletter as well as printed in booklet form and distributed in our 3 library locations (Defiance, Sherwood, Hicksville).
The contest is open to all adults 18+. Entries must be rated PG-13. Entries can be dropped off at Defiance Public Library, Sherwood Branch Library, or Johnson Memorial Library, or submitted via email to vwestrick@defiancelibrary.org between Monday, July 1, and Wednesday, July 31 at 5:00 p.m. The winner will be notified by Monday, Aug. 12.
