June 27 from 9:00AM-5:30PM & June 28 from 9:00AM-3:30PM at Pontiac Park. Sponsored by the City of Defiance and the Friends of Defiance Public Library. Free and open to all.

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday at historic Pontiac Park and the former site of Fort Defiance.

Experience historical encampments representing periods from the American Revolution through the War of 1812 located at Pontiac Park.
This annual event is part of the America 250 celebration and coincides with some of Defiance’s most popular events, including River Fest (Saturday) and Art in the Park (Sunday).

Explore historic camps depicting life in America from the 18th through the early 20th centuries. On Saturday, experience live musket and cannon demonstrations. Enjoy cooking demonstrations, hands-on activities, and much more throughout the weekend.

On Saturday evening, join us for a special America 250 commemoration featuring a wreath-laying ceremony, music, and guest speakers at Pontiac Park.
