Kids Explore (PM Sessions)

Grades 1-6 are invited to join us at Defiance Public Library for a different activity each week during Kids Explore, taking place Tuesdays (4:30PM) and Thursdays (10:30AM) from Feb. 3 to April 2. No registration is needed! *All crafts and activities are available while supplies last.

Activities:

Feb. 3 & 5: Everyone knows how beautiful fairy gardens are in the summer, but what about in the wintertime? Kids are welcome to use our craft materials to make a snowy, wintry fairy garden.

Feb. 10 & 12: Lego Club is back! Come free-build with us, or try one of the available Lego challenges.

Feb. 17 & 19: Explore the science behind extreme weather! Design and build houses using craft materials, then test them against tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, and more in this hands-on STEAM challenge.

Feb. 24 & 26: Create a wintry animal silhouette painting featuring the aurora borealis while learning about both the art technique and the science behind this beautiful natural phenomenon.

March 3 & 5: Lego Club

March 10 & 12: Kids will step into the role of a mischievous leprechaun, building their own Lego maze to hide their gold and outsmart humans in this St. Patrick’s Day STEAM challenge!

March 17 & 19: Use shrink paper to make your own Pokémon charm bracelet.

March 24 & 26: Lego Club

March 31 & April 2: Space Mission! Join us for an out-of-this-world scavenger hunt! On this mission through the galaxy, kids will find clues, decode ciphers, and tackle space-themed puzzles to piece together the location of our missing astronauts.
